Guest Equity Contracts

GUEST EQUITY CONTRACTS for LOCAL EQUITY ARTISTS at SMALLER PROFESSIONAL THEATERS (budget under $500,000)

Guest Equity Contracts for local Equity actors working at smaller professional theaters (budget under $500,000) for the 2008-2009 Greater Cincinnati theater season are the newest initiative of the Acclaim Awards and the League of Cincinnati Theatres.

The Guest Equity grants will be administered by the Theatre Artist Projects (TAP) Fund. Up to four $2,500 grants are available for the 2008-2009 season. The grant is to be used exclusively toward an AEA Guest Artist Agreement or Special Appearance Agreement for a locally based Equity artist. Productions must comply with the regulations of the League of Cincinnati Theatres.

Grants will be considered from January 4 through June 30, 2008. Grant applications should include the name of the play/musical, the local Equity artist who will be participating and the dates of the production.

Recipient theaters must use the grant during the 2008-2009 season. Recipient theatres must credit the Guest Equity Contract and TAP Fund in all publicity materials and program and file a brief report on production outcomes.
