Theatre Artist’s Project Fund Grant Application

In addition to celebrating excellence in Cincinnati theatre, The Enquirer Acclaim Awards are dedicated to expanding opportunities for theatre artists in our area. To that end, The Acclaim Awards in cooperation with The League of Cincinnati Theatres have established the Theatre Artists’ Project Fund – grants that can be in support of the creation or enhancement of staged work or for educational opportunities.

The Theatre Artists’ Project Fund is available to individual Acclaim Award recipients. Your Acclaim Award is your invitation to apply. In the Project Category, Fund grants may be used toward the Acclaimed artist’s salary or in support of a larger production, including those produced by existing theatre companies. Projects must be produced in the Greater Cincinnati area and the grant recipient must be the primary artistic participant and must be credited as such in all promotion of the larger production.

Local artists applying for support for educational opportunities (workshops, seminars, intensives, etc.) may use grants both in and out of the region. Grant application deadlines are October 30 and April 30; grants will be awarded twice a year in mid- November and in May, at the annual Acclaim Awards program.

Artists receiving grants will have eighteen (18) months to complete the project. At the end of that period, recipients will provide the Theatre Artists’ Project Fund with a brief report on the project.

The maximum grant amount will be $1,000. We hope the grants encourage you to embark on an idea that excites you and ultimately our growing theatre audience.
